UNLV Rebel Alumni Mail is a complimentary service provided by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) for its alumni. The intended purpose is to ease the transition from student to alumni and allow alumni the opportunity to brand their current and future career searches under the domain @alumni.unlv.edu. Users of Rebel Alumni Mail must be graduates of UNLV. A Rebel Alumni Mail account is a mark of distinction signifying the account holder has successfully completed a UNLV degree. Use of Rebel Alumni Mail is governed by Board of Regents policy, the UNLV Acceptable Use of Computing and Information Technology Resources Policy, Google Terms of Service, and the following: Except where User is an employee of the Nevada System of Higher Education acting in good faith in the course and scope of public duties, User will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Google from and against all liabilities, damages, and costs (including settlement costs and reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of a third-party claim: (i) regarding User Data or (ii) regarding Users’ use of the Services in violation of the Google Terms of Service. UNLV is a public institution and as such, must be able to respond to lawful requests including public records requests. Users should be aware that they should have no expectation of privacy in connection with the use of the Rebel Alumni Mail account beyond the explicit provision of university policy and applicable federal and state law. What this means to you: If you violate the law, NSHE or University of Nevada, Las Vegas policies, illegally distribute copyrighted material, or do anything else illegal or harmful to any individual or entity through the use of your Rebel Alumni Mail account, you may be liable to pay all costs, including legal fees, to address your actions. User accounts are provided as a courtesy to alumni at no cost. The program may be suspended or revoked at the unrestricted discretion of UNLV. By activating your user account, you agree to comply with all conditions associated with use of a Rebel Alumni Mail account.
