This help file has been written to help students use the REBEL ANNOUNCEMENTS VIA E-MAIL application.

A student is defined as anyone with a unlv.nevada.edu account that has been enrolled at UNLV within the past three semesters.

You will usually receive one message per week, unless there is an emergency message. The subject line will read "What's Happening at UNLV"

• Inside the message you will see titles of messages underneath three categories: Announcements, Events and Deadlines.
• Click on a title that appears as a link in the e-mail to display the content of the message in a web browser. Students are presented with a main page with one tab in the browser: View.
• Clicking on the "Last 7 days" button will display a list of messages for the last seven days. Clicking on the "Last 30 days" button will display a list of messages for the last thirty days.

Subscribe/Unsubscribe
Students who have been enrolled at UNLV in the past three semesters will automatically receive the weekly e-newsletter from UNLV. These messages are sent to Rebelmail address (username@unlv.nevada.edu).

You may not unsubscribe from RAVE because it is an official means of electronic communications used with students. Likewise, you may not subscribe to the list. Subscription is automatic based on your status in UNLV's student information system. If you wish to read messages sent to students, you may always view them from this website which is available to the public.

Submit Messages UNLV employees with valid Lotus Notes e-mail addresses may submit messages to RAVE on behalf of students. Messages must follow the guidelines posted at RAVE's website.

Messages for the following week are due on Wednesdays.
